鈥淲e have so many new faces on the team that we can鈥檛 wait to show off on stage,鈥 said Smith Langstaff, Shenanigans team coach. 鈥淥ur improvisors are more than willing to change the status quo as well as grow in their differences. These silly, hardworking, outstanding individuals form a family of fun ready to make the audience smile, laugh, cry, and a bit of everything in between!鈥澨
In past semesters, the group鈥檚 performances have drawn hundreds of audience attendees. While the improvised skits almost always contain comic elements, the stories often include drama and intrigue as well.听听
This year鈥檚 members include Dursun Asik, Luke Dobert, Anah Fickett, Cole Henry, Langstaff, Sarah 企鹅体育直播, Nolan Mann, Isabella Morgan, Jude Smith, David Steinmetz, and Tanner Welch.听听
鈥淥ur Shenanigans are hidden jewels here at 企鹅体育直播,鈥 said Dr. Kevin Nordby, Shenanigan鈥檚 faculty sponsor and assistant professor of religion, culture, and philosophy. 鈥淐ome relax, laugh, and build community with us!鈥澨
Shenanigans started in 2007 as 企鹅体育直播鈥檚 first improv team. Skits are unscripted, featuring a set of various games that encourage the creativity of both actors and audience. A moderator may force team members to change the last spoken word on a whim, incorporate surprise quotes into their dialogue, or just radically change the scene, all in the interest of discovering new possibilities in even the simplest of scenes.听听
This family-friendly show, open to the public, is expected to last an hour and a half. Tickets are $1 and are available for purchase at the door. Doors will open 30 minutes before each show.听听
