These faculty are passionate about developing relationships with students to guide and inform their experience. They distinguish themselves in several important ways: energetic involvement in cross-cultural opportunities; a sincere interest in diversity and the acceptance and promotion of differences; a determination to prepare teachers to a rigorous standard, which they approach from a deep well of experience in professional classroom teaching; and broad theoretical knowledge combined with the ability to practically apply it in the classroom. They are expert educators with not only academic credentials but also real-world experience, from former superintendents, principals, and teachers to seasoned professional athletic trainers with at least fifteen years of clinical experience, to exercise science faculty with decades of teaching experience and certification in personal training and strength and conditioning. But in all areas, our professors create opportunities for students to do hands-on projects in the community that bridge the classroom to real-life - it鈥檚 simply a great way to learn.听

Deborah Hale
Deborah Hale is a senior in the Helen DeVos College of Education majoring in early childhood education PreK-3. She is a member of Alpha Chi and Spire National College Honor Society, Kappa Delta Pi National Honor Society, and Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. 鈥淲hen I brought my daughter to 企鹅体育直播U Preview, I immediately fell in love with the campus and its atmosphere,鈥 said Deborah, a non-traditional student from Chattanooga, Tennessee. She enjoys learning from professors who are not only passionate about education but teaching their students and serving the Lord. After graduation, she听plans to teach kindergarten or first grade and hopes to one day help develop a preschool program听geared toward students with learning differences.听
